Bernard Interiors provides a unique bespoke service, interpreting our clients’ requirements to perfection and producing luxury interiors across a broad range of sectors, including retirement, residential, hospitality and commercial projects throughout the UK and abroad.

We strive to maximise the potential of each space and develop each interior with imagination, vision and exceptional attention to detail, always aiming to exceed expectations and satisfy our clients. Our in-house team of qualified interior designers, technical staff and the procurement office work closely with trusted external professionals including planning consultants, engineers and contractors.

Our design skill set and experience encompass interior design and space planning through to bespoke joinery, furnishings and lighting design schemes. We commission and source accessories, including vintage and salvaged pieces, and artwork. We have in-depth product knowledge and an extensive library, and we regularly visit international trade and design shows to keep abreast of the latest interior trends.

Each project starts with an initial complimentary meeting with the client. This is an opportunity to discuss the project in detail and ascertain the brief.

We also discuss outline budgets and time scales so that the project progresses smoothly. This meeting is followed by a written proposal issued to the client.

In response to the client’s brief a concept scheme is created for discussion.

This is presented in the form of draft layouts illustrating use of space, any structural modifications and furniture layouts.

We produce mood boards to demonstrate colour schemes, furniture styles and finishes. At this stage we produce a draft cost plan which includes provisional sums for any works along with an outline programme.

On client sign off of concept design, the project moves to the detail design and specification stage.

Every element of the scheme is designed and specified for the client to sign off.

A meeting is set up for the client to view all relevant specified items. Detail design includes CAD plans and elevations, electrical layouts, joinery details and FF&E schedules.

Once the detail design has been agreed a comprehensive cost plan is presented.

This sets out the cost of each individual element per room and a summarised project total. To give our clients best value within the procurement service, items can be supplied with discretionary discounts.

A fee is charged to manage every stage of the procurement process from price, negotiation, value engineering, production, delivery and quality management. This enables us to control the process, ensure on-time delivery and deal with any post installation issues that may arise.

A design, build and installation programme is then compiled and agreed with the client.

Progress of the project is continually managed and monitored, ensuring any issues arising in the course of the project are quickly and efficiently resolved to the client’s satisfaction in a pragmatic manner.

Once all construction and fixed items are complete, soft furnishings and window treatments are installed. The delivery and positioning of all furniture and furnishings is then coordinated.

We often curate artwork, accessories and floral arrangements to perfect the finished look.
