What We Would Have Been Doing…

Fitting Out a Luxury Apartment in Marbella…

The coronavirus pandemic has turned daily lives upside down all over the world and as a business we have had to quickly adapt and respond to the challenging times we are now faced with. This week our  MD, Jen Bernard and Associate Designer, Kathryn Mason were due to fly out to Marbella to fit out a luxury apartment for a longstanding private client. Due to the ongoing crisis, the fit out has been put on hold and the Spanish construction team have downed tools until further notice. As the project is so near to completion, we thought we would share some progress shots and design details to give an idea of what we would have been doing under normal circumstances.

The crisp and contemporary interior of the 2,000 sq ft apartment will be complemented by injections of colour throughout the scheme. The open plan kitchen will feature sleek and modern units, creating a sophisticated European feel. In the lounge, bespoke floor to ceiling joinery with textured back panels will house the entertainment system, artwork and shelving. Pops of orange and blue in the accessories and artwork will bring warmth and vibrancy.

The master bedroom will showcase pattern clashing at its finest – a bespoke headboard upholstered in a botanical inspired fabric set against a geometric print wallcovering. Accents of orange and blue are also carried through into this room creating a balance and flow throughout the scheme.

Orange features again in the eyecatching guest bathroom. A geometric print wallpaper offers a vibrant colour contrast to the white marbelled tiles, fixtures and fittings.

“I’m very excited to see this scheme come together after working on the designs for over a year. Fitting out a project and seeing our client’s reaction to the finished product is possibly the most rewarding part of any project,” commented Jen.  “Having worked closely with our client for many years we understand their vision for luxurious, inviting and colourful interiors so we can’t wait to get over the finishing line with this uplifting project. For now, we’re focusing on adhering to Government guidelines to protect our NHS and to keep our team members and families safe.”
