Fairfax Manor’s interiors draw quiet inspiration from Harrogate’s historic spa-town heritage, translating its elegance and social warmth into a contemporary, lived-in setting. The design references the town’s tradition of gracious hospitality and refined gathering, subtle nods to places like the iconic Bettys Tea Rooms are echoed through inviting seating arrangements, gentle colour palettes and spaces that encourage lingering conversation.

“Light, proportion and materiality are carefully balanced to create rooms that feel calm yet animated. Light-filled lounges and shared areas are designed as welcoming social settings rather than formal rooms, offering natural points for connection between residents, visitors and the wider community.”
“Framed views to landscaped gardens, intuitive circulation and thoughtfully layered textures allow the interiors to feel open, familiar and connected to their surroundings, a place where local character, daily ritual and human connection are quietly woven into the fabric of the design.”
